Allen-Bradley 1783-ETAP2F EtherNet/IP Tap Module
Allen-Bradley 1783-ETAP2F EtherNet/IP Tap Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1783-ETAP2F EtherNet/IP Tap Module is a three-port tap that inserts diagnostic or tool-port access into an EtherNet/IP network without breaking a linear topology. It provides one copper RJ-45 Ethernet port (10/100 Mbps) and two fiber ports (100Base-FX) for copper-to-fiber tap configurations, with LC connectors on the fiber ports. The copper port supports Category 5e/5 cabling per IEC 60603-7. The device is powered from a 24 V DC supply (20.4–27.6 V), drawing up to 260 mA (about 6.24 W total), and features isolation of 30 V continuous basic insulation with testing up to 853 V AC for 60 seconds. Each fiber port carries a 100Base-FX multimode transceiver at 1310 nm, with receiver sensitivity between -31.8 and -14 dBm. Operational and environmental ratings include a −25 to 60 °C operating range (−40 to 85 °C storage) and 5–95% relative humidity (non-condensing); vibration of 5 g (10–500 Hz) and shock tolerance of 30 g operating / 50 g non-operating; and mounting torque of 0.6–0.8 N·m. The 1783-ETAP2F is part of Allen-Bradley Stratix EtherNet/IP Tap family and is designed to expand network topology by adding copper and fiber access points in a single plug-in module.
