Allen-Bradley 1783-ETAP EtherNet IP Tap Module
Allen-Bradley 1783-ETAP EtherNet IP Tap Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1783-ETAP EtherNet/IP Tap Module is a three-port copper EtherNet/IP tap that provides three RJ-45 ports supporting 10/100 Mbps, enabling single-port devices to join Device Level Ring (DLR) or linear EtherNet/IP topologies. It is powered from a 24 V DC supply (20.4–27.6 V DC) and draws up to 125 mA (maximum about 3 W), with a continuous isolation rating of 30 V between the network and power domains. The copper ETAP variant supports full- and half-duplex operation on its copper ports and is designed for industrial environments requiring compact, non-switching topology tapping. This model, the 1783-ETAP, is the copper-based EtherNet/IP Tap in Rockwell Automation's ETAP family, intended to simplify integration of multiple devices into EtherNet/IP networks while preserving topology flexibility.
