Allen-Bradley 1771AF W543 Fiber Optic Converter

The Allen-Bradley 1771-AF fiber optic converter is a PLC-5 era interface module that translates Twinax DH+ electrical signals into light for transmission over fiber and then converts the light back to the electrical signal at the remote end. It operates at an 820 nm optical wavelength, with a receiver sensitivity of -24 dBm at 1 m when using a 100–140 μm fiber, and a transmitter power of -21 dBm at 1 m for 50–125 μm fiber. The unit ships with an SMA-905 fiber-optic connector cable, and supports multiple fiber sizes commonly used in PLC-5 fiber installations. Designed to extend DH+/Twinax links for PLC-5 systems, the 1771-AF provides fiber isolation and longer reach between control panels.
