Allen-Bradley 1771-OFE2 PLC-5 Analog Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1771-OFE2 PLC-5 Analog Output Module delivers four 4-20 mA analog output channels for PLC-5 control systems, converting block-transfer data into current commands that drive field devices such as valves and actuators. Designed for use with PLC-5 controllers, it plugs into a 1771 I/O chassis (examples include 1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B, and 1771-A4B) and communicates over the 1771 backplane. Each channel provides 12-bit resolution (0-4095) mapped to the 4-20 mA current range, and the module does not supply loop power for loop-powered devices. As of March 4, 2021, Rockwell Automation lists the 1771-OFE2 as discontinued, indicating that it is a legacy module no longer sold new by the manufacturer.
