Allen-Bradley 1771-OFE1 Analog Output Card

Allen-Bradley 1771-OFE1 Analog Output Card is a four-channel voltage-output module designed for the PLC-5 family, intended for installation in 1771 Universal I/O chassis (1771-A1B, 1771-A2B, 1771-A3B, or 1771-A4B) and powered entirely from the 1771 I/O backplane. The OFE1 variant provides four analog voltage outputs with three selectable voltage ranges per channel, configured via on-board jumpers, and per-channel last-state behavior for safe startup and shutdown. As a part of the PLC-5 analog output family, it translates digital values from the PLC-5 CPU into analog voltages to drive external devices such as actuators and instrumentation, enabling straightforward integration with process controls. The OFE1 is the voltage-version counterpart to the 1771-OFE2 current-output variant, covering four channels in voltage mode. Note that Rockwell Automation announced the discontinuation of the 1771-OFE analog output modules as of March 4, 2021, so new stock is limited and these cards are commonly sourced from surplus or used inventories. This module is intended for legacy PLC-5 installations and maintains compatibility with standard 1771 I/O backplane power delivery, offering a compact plug-in solution for maintaining or refurbishing older control systems that require four analog outputs.
