Allen-Bradley 1771-OAD-C Analog Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1771-OAD-C is a high-voltage AC analog output module for 1771 I/O backplanes in PLC-5/SLC-500 ecosystems, delivering 16 isolated outputs intended to drive AC loads from the backplane supply. Each channel provides up to 2 A into loads ranging from 10 to 138 VAC (47–63 Hz), with a module-wide cap of 8 A; surge capability reaches 25 A per output for 100 ms and can repeat every second, while a minimum load current of 5 mA per channel ensures reliable operation. This Series C revision draws power entirely from the 1771 I/O chassis backplane rather than requiring external supplies, and its 16 outputs enable distributing control across many actuators such as isolated solenoids or transformers. The module is designed for rugged industrial environments and is compatible with 1771 I/O chassis in Rockwell Automation installations, providing a compact yet scalable AC output solution when multiple controlled AC devices are needed.
