The Allen-Bradley 1771-IXE is an 8-channel, differential thermocouple/millivolt input module that functions as a Data Highway interface for PLC-5 controllers. It mounts in a 1771 Data Highway I/O chassis and accepts thermocouple and millivolt signals on eight independent differential inputs, enabling low-level sensor measurements and temperature monitoring across a DH+ network. In line with Data Highway specifications, IXE supports a detectable scan rate for real-time data, with EPICS records noting up to 2 Hz for the IXE module (versus 5 Hz for the IXHR variant).
