Allen-Bradley 1771-IV DC Driver Logic Input Module is an 8-channel digital input card for PLC-5 racks that converts 12–24 V DC field signals into backplane logic. Each of the eight inputs accepts 12–24 V DC and delivers driver-logic signals to the PLC-5 backplane, with field wiring commonly using the 1771-WA wiring arm. This module is designed for readout of sensors, switches, and other 24 V DC devices in industrial automation, and it belongs to the PLC-5 1771 I/O family. Rockwell Automation notes that the 1771-IV Driver Logic Input Module was discontinued as of March 31, 2021.
