Allen-Bradley 1770-KF2 Data Highway Interface Module

Allen-Bradley 1770-KF2 Data Highway Interface Module is an asynchronous interface that links a host computer to Allen-Bradley’s Data Highway network, enabling bidirectional data exchange across the Data Highway Local Area Network (DH+). This Series B module mounts in a Bulletin 1771 I/O chassis and is designed for Data Highway communications, with the KF2 typically placed within 100 cable-feet of the DH trunkline. The KF2's DH+ connection uses a physical 3-position Phoenix plug for the Data Highway link (Line 1, Line 2, Shield), providing a compact, field-installable interface between the host and the DH+ network. By bridging the host with the DH+ LAN, the KF2 enables serial data transfer between legacy host systems and the Data Highway for controller communications and data exchange.
