Allen-Bradley 1769-SDNK DeviceNet Scanner Module

The Allen-Bradley 1769-SDNK DeviceNet Scanner Module is a CompactLogix-compatible DeviceNet scanner that acts as the master on the DeviceNet network to connect device slaves with a Rockwell Automation controller. Used with Compact I/O backplanes, the 1769-SDNK scans DeviceNet slave devices and provides the controller with structured input data from those devices while enabling the controller to send outputs to the DeviceNet devices. You configure the device with RSNetWorx for DeviceNet to define the scanlist and use RSLogix 5000 to align the controller’s I/O data in the project. Best practice includes terminating the DeviceNet trunk at the ends of the network and ensuring proper wiring and power per the CompactLogix/DeviceNet guidelines.
