Allen-Bradley 1769-OF4VI Isolated Voltage Output Module
Allen-Bradley 1769-OF4VI Isolated Voltage Output Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1769-OF4VI is a four-channel isolated voltage output module for CompactLogix 1769 I/O, delivering four independent, differential voltage outputs that are galvanically isolated from each other and from the backplane. Each channel supports selectable voltage ranges for precise analog control, with full-scale options including ±10.5V, -0.5 to 10.5V, -0.5 to 5.25V, and 0.5 to 5.25V, all resolved at 15 bits plus sign to provide fine voltage steps. The module provides Output Group to Bus isolation rated up to 500 V AC / 710 V DC for 1 minute and a rated working voltage of 30 V AC/DC, enabling safe interfacing with external devices. Power draw is modest—bus current of about 165 mA at 5 V (and around 110 mA at 24 V)—with a maximum heat dissipation near 2.0 W when fully loaded. Each channel can source up to 5 mA into a minimum 2 kΩ load, and the device offers a maximum conversion rate of 120 ms for all channels, with an output ripple of roughly 0.05% over 0–50 kHz. This isolated analog output module is designed for use in CompactLogix systems where precise, low-current voltage outputs are required to drive analog actuators, valves, or similar devices while preserving galvanic isolation from the controller.
