Description:

Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 is a two-channel, single-ended analog output module for the 1769 Compact I/O family, designed to drive voltage or current actuators from a Rockwell Automation control system. Each channel can be configured as a voltage output with ranges of ±10 V, 0–10 V, 0–5 V, or 1–5 V, or as a current output in 0–20 mA or 4–20 mA, enabling flexible control of sensors, valves, and actuators. The module uses a Delta-Sigma converter and delivers 14-bit resolution (unipolar) or 14-bit with sign (bipolar) for precise signaling. All channels share a 2.5 ms conversion rate, with a 2.9 ms step response to a full-scale change. Electrical characteristics include a current load on voltage outputs up to 10 mA; resistive loading on current outputs up to 500 Ω (including wiring); and capacitive/inductive load limits of up to 1 μF on voltage outputs and up to 0.1 mH on current outputs. The OF2 draws up to 120 mA from either a 5.1 V logic supply or a 24 V supply and dissipates up to about 2.63 W of heat, suitable for compact installations in industrial control cabinets. With two independent, single-ended outputs, it directly drives two actuators or analog devices in a compact 1769 Compact I/O chassis, offering a compact, precise solution for mixed voltage and current analog signaling.
