Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 Analog Output Module
Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 Analog Output Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 is a two-channel, compact analog output module for the 1769 Compact I/O family that provides either voltage or current signals to external actuators and process devices. Each of the two single-ended outputs can be configured for voltage ranges (±10 V, 0–10 V, 0–5 V, 1–5 V) or current ranges (0–20 mA, 4–20 mA), delivering precise control through 14-bit resolution (unipolar) or 14-bit with sign for bipolar ranges, with a conversion rate up to 2.5 ms for all channels. The module offers 500 V AC isolation between the output group and the bus and a rated working voltage of 30 V AC/DC, supporting safe operation in mixed-signaling environments. It weighs about 300 g and measures roughly 118 mm high, 35 mm wide, and 87 mm deep, making it a compact choice for space-constrained racks. Open-wire detection in current mode occurs in about 10 ms (typical), enabling quick fault identification for sensors in 4–20 mA loops. Designed for Series B or later backplanes, the 1769-OF2 is widely used to drive precise analog outputs for valves, transducers, and other analog devices within a CompactLogix/Compact I/O configuration.
