Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 2-Point DC Output Module
Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 2-Point DC Output Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1769-OF2 is a CompactLogix two-channel analog output module with two single-ended outputs that can be configured per channel as either 0–10 V DC voltage or 0–20 mA current. It is designed for Rockwell Automation’s Compact I/O ecosystem and can be powered from the backplane (bus) or from an external 24 V Class 2 supply (20.4–26.4 V, minimum 60 mA). The module provides 30 V AC/DC rated working voltage and offers 500 V AC or 710 V DC isolation between the output group and the bus, ensuring safe operation in mixed-voltage environments. Each channel supports a load of 0–500 Ω in current mode and >1 kΩ in voltage mode, with open-wire detection around 10 ms and a maximum short-circuit current of 21 mA, enabling fault protection for connected instrumentation. Its physical footprint is approximately 118 × 35 × 87 mm (4.65 × 1.38 × 3.43 in) and weight about 300 g (0.65 lb); it can be mounted on a DIN rail or panel, making installation flexible in control cabinets. The 1769-OF2 dissipates about 2.52 W total and uses a Module OK LED to indicate power, diagnostics, and bus communication status. This module is ideal for precise analog control tasks in applications like process setpoints, valve position, or sensor calibration, where robust isolation, configurable output ranges, and reliable power options are essential.
