Allen-Bradley 1769-OB16P Compact IO Output Module

The Allen-Bradley 1769-OB16P Compact I/O output module is a 16-point, 24 V DC solid-state sourcing (positive logic) output module designed for use with Allen-Bradley Compact I/O in CompactLogix systems. Each of its 16 outputs is a protected, electronically fused DC source capable of delivering up to 0.5 A per point at high temperature (60 C), with a per-point maximum of 1 A at 30 C, and a module-wide limit of 4 A at 60 C (8 A at 30 C). It supports a 2.0 A surge current for 10 ms (repeatable every 1 s) and provides fast switching with an output delay of 1.0 ms on and 2.0 ms off. The device operates from a 20.4–26.4 V DC supply and provides isolation of 1200 VAC (1 s) or 1697 V DC (1 s) between the output and the bus. The module’s dimensions are approximately 118 x 35 x 87 mm and it weighs about 255 g, making it a compact option for 1769 I/O racks. Typical 24 V loads—such as solenoids, relays, and other DC devices—can be driven directly from the OB16P’s outputs. The OB16P uses the Compact I/O data word 0 to reflect the state of its outputs and integrates with 1769 Compact I/O chassis and CompactLogix controllers for scalable control in industrial automation.
