Allen-Bradley 1769-OB16 16-Point Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1769-OB16 Rev 2 is a CompactLogix 16-point, 24 VDC sourcing solid-state output module designed to switch DC loads in a Compact I/O system. It provides 16 independently energized outputs suitable for driving solenoids, interlocking relays, or indicator lamps from a 24V supply, with an operating voltage range of 20.4 to 26.4 V DC. Each output can carry up to 0.5 A continuous (1 A per point at lower temperatures), and the module supports a total current of 4.0 A at 60°C (or 8.0 A at 30°C) across all points. On-state voltage drop is limited to 1.0 V max at 1 A, while off-state leakage stays under 1.0 mA. The outputs switch with a delay of about 0.1 ms (on) and 1.0 ms (off) and tolerate a surge current of 2 A for 10 ms, repeatable every 2 seconds. Isolation between each output and the backplane is rated for 1200 VAC for 1 s or 1697 V DC for 1 s, with a 75 V DC working voltage across the reinforced IEC Class II insulation; total module heat dissipation runs around 2.11 W.
