Allen-Bradley 1769-L33ER Digital Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1769-L33ER Digital Input Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1769-L33ER is a CompactLogix 5370 L3 processor module designed for Ethernet/IP-based control tasks in mid-range automation setups. It provides 2 MB of user memory to store programs and data, and includes dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports plus a USB port for programming, diagnostics, and data transfer. Unlike some other controllers, the L33ER does not require a separate battery; it stores the active program in internal memory and can utilize a Secure Digital (SD) card for nonvolatile storage, depending on configuration. As part of the CompactLogix 5370 L3 family, it supports EtherNet/IP communication to coordinate with I/O modules and devices across a network, enabling scalable, networked control. Typical applications include packaging lines, material handling, conveyors, and automated assembly where compact, networked control is essential. The processor integrates into a CompactLogix chassis with a standard backplane and is commonly paired with appropriate 1769-series I/O modules to implement a range of discrete, analog, and sequencing tasks within a single control platform.
