Description:

Allen-Bradley 1769-IT6 CompactLogix 6-channel Thermocouple/mV Input Module is a six-channel analog input module for the 1769 Compact I/O bus that enables a CompactLogix controller to read thermocouple EMF or millivolt signals from multiple sensors in industrial environments. Each channel supports thermocouple or millivolt inputs with per-channel diagnostics for open-circuit, and the module performs autocalibration on power‑up or whenever a channel is enabled to maintain accuracy. It offers a rated working voltage of 30 V AC/DC and a common-mode voltage range of ±10 V per channel, with a minimum common-mode rejection of 115 dB and normal-mode rejection of 85 dB at 50/60 Hz filters, providing robust noise immunity. Input impedance exceeds 10 MΩ, and cables up to about 25 Ω are specified for the stated accuracy. Open-circuit detection takes between 7 ms and 2.1 s, and there is channel-to-channel common-mode separation to help isolate signals across inputs. An illuminated OK status indicator confirms power, diagnostics, and communication with the controller, and there is about 720 V DC isolation between the input group and the backplane bus per installation notes. Typical applications include temperature monitoring and control in furnaces, boilers, climate control, and other process environments where thermocouple or millivolt sensing is required, especially when paired with CompactLogix controllers in factory automation systems.
