Allen-Bradley 1769-IT6 Thermocouple Input Module

Allen-Bradley 1769-IT6 is a six-channel Compact I/O Thermocouple/MV input module that plugs into the CompactLogix/1769 I/O bus to read thermocouple signals and millivolt voltages from sensors. It provides six isolated input channels with bus isolation rated up to 720 V DC for 1 minute, and a working voltage of 30 V AC/30 V DC, along with channel-to-channel isolation and common-mode separation up to ±10 V DC. The IT6 supports thermocouple inputs and millivolt signals, with per-channel diagnostics (open-circuit, over-range, under-range) and an OK status indicator when power, diagnostics, and bus communication are healthy. For thermocouple inputs, Rockwell data for J-type junctions quotes a range of -210 to 1,200 °C with about ±0.6 °C typical accuracy and ±0.9 °C maximum accuracy at 25 °C ambient. Configuration is performed via the controller software, enabling temperature monitoring and control in industrial processes, HVAC, and energy-management applications that require precise, multi-channel thermocouple readings.
