Allen-Bradley 1769-IQ16 16-Point Input Module

The Allen-Bradley 1769-IQ16 is a 16-point digital input module for the CompactLogix 1769 Compact I/O family, delivering 16 24 VDC inputs that can be wired as sinking or sourcing. Inputs accept a 10–30 VDC range and are designed to read discrete field signals from sensors, proximity switches, pushbuttons, and similar devices in industrial automation. Field wiring accepts 22-14 AWG solid copper or 22-16 AWG stranded copper. The module mounts on the Compact I/O backplane and supports DIN rail or panel mounting, with electrical isolation between each input point and the bus rated at 1200 V AC for 1 s or 1697 V DC for 1 s. A replacement terminal block, 1769-RTBN18, is available as an accessory for field wiring. Typically used with CompactLogix controllers to expand input capacity, the 1769-IQ16 is ideal for applications requiring 24 VDC sensing across multiple sensors or devices in manufacturing lines, packaging equipment, or process automation.
