Description:

Allen-Bradley 1769-IF4I is a four-channel isolated differential analog input module designed for the CompactLogix ecosystem, converting sensor signals into digital data for the controller. It accepts both voltage and current sensors, with input ranges including voltage: ±10 V DC, 0–10 V DC, 0–5 V DC, and current: 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA, all on four isolated differential inputs to protect the controller from field-side faults. Each channel is isolated from the backplane, helping to minimize ground loops and noise in industrial environments. The module delivers 14-bit resolution per channel for precise digital representation of analog values and can be powered from the backplane at 5 V (bus current up to 145 mA) or 24 V (bus current up to 125 mA). Note that the 1769-IF4I does not provide loop power for analog sensors; any devices requiring loop power must be externally powered. Typical applications include reading analog sensors in process or machine automation—such as temperature, pressure, level, or flow sensors—where isolated inputs reduce interference and protect the controller. This CompactLogix I/O module integrates with Allen-Bradley controllers to provide reliable, isolated measurements across four channels.
