Description:

Allen-Bradley 1769-IF4I Isolated Analog Input Module is a four-channel, isolated analog input card for the 1769 Compact I/O family, designed to feed voltage or current sensor signals to CompactLogix controllers. Each channel is galvanically isolated from the others and from the backplane, with channel-to-rack and channel-to-channel isolation rated to 500 V AC / 710 V DC (qualification test) and group-to-bus isolation of 30 V AC/DC. The module employs a Delta-Sigma converter with 16-bit resolution for unipolar ranges and 15-bit plus sign for bipolar operation, supporting voltage ranges such as ±10.5 V, -0.5 to 10.5 V, -0.5 to 5.25 V, and 0 to 5.25 V, as well as current ranges from 0–21 mA and 3.2–21 mA. Input impedance is 1 MΩ for voltage and 249 Ω for current; common-mode voltage range is ±10 V DC, and the device offers strong rejection of noise with common-mode rejection >60 dB at 50/60 Hz when the 10 Hz filter is selected, and normal-mode rejection around -50 dB at the same frequencies. Power draw on the backplane is 140 mA at 5 V or 110 mA at 24 V, with a maximum dissipation of about 3.0 W; dimensions are 118 x 35 x 87 mm and the weight is roughly 0.65 lb (0.3 kg). Operating temperature range is 0 to 60 °C, and the module does not provide loop power for sensors. The 1769-IF4I is used to capture isolated analog signals in industrial automation setups and interfaces with 1769 Compact I/O racks in DIN-rail or panel-mount configurations.
