Description:

The Allen‑Bradley 1769-IF4 is a four‑channel analog input module for the Compact I/O family that accepts per‑channel analog signals in either differential or single‑ended configuration and feeds a CompactLogix or MicroLogix 1500 controller. Each channel uses a Delta‑Sigma converter with 14‑bit resolution (14 bits unipolar; 14 bits with sign for bipolar signals) and provides input impedance of 220 kΩ for voltage signals and 250 Ω for current signals, with galvanic isolation rated up to 500 VAC (710 V DC) for 1 minute and a working voltage of 30 V AC/DC. The module supports voltage inputs in ranges up to around ±10 V (with common options such as 0–10 V and 0–5 V) and current inputs in the 4–20 mA region (full‑scale values align with typical 0–21 mA ranges), enabling measurements from sensors like thermocouples, pressure transducers, and other analog devices. Electrical performance is listed as about ±0.2% full‑scale accuracy for voltage and ±0.35% FS for current at 25 °C, with modest temperature drift and good common‑mode rejection when used with proper input filtering. The 1769‑IF4 is a Series B or later device designed for Compact I/O networks and, in typical configurations, draws roughly 60 mA at 24 V (or about 120 mA at 5.1 V, ~2.5 W heat). Its physical footprint is approximately 118 × 35 × 87 mm and it weighs around 0.30 kg, and it requires a 30 V AC/DC supply to operate and connects to the controller via the Compact I/O backplane.
