Allen-Bradley 1769-IF4 Compact IO Analog Input Module
Allen-Bradley 1769-IF4 Compact IO Analog Input Module
Description:
The Allen-Bradley 1769-IF4 is a four-channel analog input module for Compact I/O that provides isolated, backplane‑driven sensing by converting sensor signals into PLC data for a CompactLogix controller. Each input can be configured as differential or single‑ended and accepts multiple voltage and current ranges: 0–10 V, 0–5 V, 1–5 V, and ±10 V for voltage, plus 0–20 mA and 4–20 mA for current, with 14‑bit resolution (14 bits plus a sign bit in bipolar operation).
Electrical characteristics include an input impedance of 220 kΩ for voltage measurements and 250 Ω for current measurements, common‑mode voltage range up to ±10 V DC, and isolation from the backplane of 500 V AC or 710 V DC for 1 minute, with a working voltage of 30 V AC/DC per IEC Class II reinforced insulation. The module is designed for Series B or later Compact I/O installations and supports four differential or four single‑ended channels across a single module.
Power, size, and mounting specifications indicate a current draw of approximately 120 mA at 5.1 V or 60 mA at 24 V, with compact dimensions around 118 × 35 × 87 mm (4.65 × 1.38 × 3.43 in) and a weight near 300 g. This Ethernet-free analog input module slots into a Compact I/O rack for use with CompactLogix controllers and other backplane systems, enabling reliable acquisition of industrial sensor and process signals with isolated, high‑resolution digital data ready for control applications.
