The Allen-Bradley 1769-ECR is the Compact I/O right end cap and terminator for the 1769 Compact I/O bus in CompactLogix systems. It mechanically closes the end of the I/O bank and electrically terminates the backplane to help preserve signal integrity for the 1769 modules and controllers. This accessory is used to complete the bus assembly on the right side of 1769 racks and is one of several end-cap variants (ECL, ECLK, ECR, ECRK) designed for different installation configurations. In many configurations the 1769-ECR is included with the 1769-L23x controller, so a separate purchase may not be required.
