The Allen-Bradley 1768-M04SE CompactLogix SERCOS interface module provides a four-axis motion communications link between 1768-L4x controllers and servo drives on a SERCOS ring. It supports two SERCOS data rates, 4 Mbps and 8 Mbps, giving you a choice between tight timing and higher bandwidth. At 4 Mbps, cycle times are 0.5 ms for up to two drives and 1 ms for up to four drives; at 8 Mbps, 0.5 ms applies for up to four drives, enabling precise synchronization across multiple axes. The module supports position and velocity drive control modes and handles four servo axes per module. Electrical characteristics include a current draw of 969 mA at 5.2 V DC and a power dissipation of 5.04 W, with a listed 0 mA current draw at 24 V DC.
