Allen-Bradley 1764-LRP MicroLogix 1500 Processor

Allen-Bradley 1764-LRP MicroLogix 1500 Processor is a modular two-port RS-232C processor unit that serves as the central processing unit of a MicroLogix 1500 controller when installed with a base unit, providing the computing core and serial communication capability needed by compact automation applications. The module includes 14 KB of user memory for programs and data and exposes two isolated RS-232C communication ports that support DF1, DH-485, Modbus, and ASCII protocols, enabling reliable serial links to devices such as programming consoles, HMIs, or other PLCs. Although once common in small-machine control, the 1764-LRP was discontinued by Rockwell Automation on May 12, 2017, with Rockwell directing users toward functional replacements within the MicroLogix 1500 family. Programming and configuration are performed with RSLogix 500-compatible software, and the unit specifies an output source of Relay Port and DC FET for I/O driving within its base-system context.
