Allen-Bradley 1762-OB16 16-Point DC Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1762-OB16 MicroLogix 1200 Expansion I/O module is a solid-state, 16-point 24 VDC sourcing output module that provides sixteen independently controlled transistor outputs to drive DC loads from a 24 V supply. It operates from 20.4 to 26.4 V DC and connects to the MicroLogix backplane with isolation to 1200 V AC for protection. Each output point can continuously source up to 0.5 A at 55 °C (131 °F) or up to 1.0 A at 30 °C (86 °F); the module's total continuous current rating is 4.0 A at 55 °C or 8.0 A at 30 °C. Surge current capability is 2.0 A per point, repeatable every 2 seconds for 10 ms. On-state voltage drop is ≤1.0 V at 0.5 A; allowable off-state leakage is ≤1.0 mA. Timing characteristics include an on-delay of 0.1 ms and an off-delay of 1.0 ms. Power dissipation is around 2.9 W at 30 °C (2.1 W at 55 °C). The 1762-OB16 is designed for MicroLogix 1200/1400 systems to drive DC loads such as relays, coils, or indicator devices, and requires an external 24 V DC power source for the outputs.
