Allen-Bradley 1756-OA16K ControlLogix Digital Output Module

Allen-Bradley 1756-OA16K ControlLogix AC Digital Output Module provides 16 AC output points for ControlLogix I/O racks, occupying a single 1756 slot and wiring through removable terminal blocks (1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH). It switches 74–265 VAC loads at 47–63 Hz, making it suitable for relays, contactors and other AC actuators in industrial automation. Each output point is rated for up to 0.5 A, with a total module limit of 4 A, and the device supports surge currents up to 5 A per point for 43 ms (repeatable every 2 s at 60°C) and up to 15 A per group under the same conditions. Off-state leakage is limited to a maximum of 3 mA per point, and the on-state voltage drop can reach up to 1.5 V at 0.5 A. Backplane power is about 2.1 W, with a maximum dissipation of 6.5 W at 60°C, and isolation between output circuits and the backplane is 250 V. Fusing is provided per group with a 3.15 A slow-blow rating (250 V AC), and the module supports electronic RTB keying with user-defined mechanical options via the removable terminal block configuration. This 16-point AC output module is designed for ControlLogix systems to reliably drive AC solenoids and relay coils, delivering precise, per-point electrical characteristics within Rockwell Automation’s 74–265 VAC control ecosystem.
