Allen-Bradley 1756-ENBT EtherNet/IP Bridge Module
Allen-Bradley 1756-ENBT EtherNet/IP Bridge Module
Description:
Allen-Bradley 1756-ENBT EtherNet/IP Bridge Module is a 10/100 Mbps EtherNet/IP communication bridge for Rockwell ControlLogix systems, designed to connect a 1756 backplane to an Ethernet/IP network. It mounts in a 1756 chassis as a chassis-based module that fits in any slot and provides a single RJ-45 Ethernet port for network connectivity. The module supports up to 64 TCP connections and 128 CIP connections, enabling scalable data exchange between a Logix controller and devices on the EtherNet/IP network. An isolation rating of 30 V continuous between the Ethernet network and the backplane helps protect the controller and network from faults. Power consumption is typically around 3.7 W, with a current draw of about 700 mA at 5.1 V (and 3 mA at 24 V). Operating at 10/100 Mbps over standard Category 5 twisted-pair cabling, it delivers Ethernet/IP communications for both explicit and implicit CIP data transfers within the 1756 ecosystem, supporting a range of I/O and device integration scenarios. This makes the ENBT an integral option for linking ControlLogix controllers to Ethernet networks and bridging data to peripheral devices across the industrial network.
