The Allen-Bradley 1756-ENBT EtherNet/IP Network Interface Module is a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet/IP communication module for Rockwell ControlLogix systems, designed to be installed in a 1756 backplane to provide Ethernet connectivity for Logix-based I/O and devices. It supports up to 128 CIP connections and 64 TCP connections, enabling a mix of implicit I/O messaging and explicit communications with Ethernet/IP devices. Integrated with the ControlLogix platform, the ENBT facilitates data exchange between a PLC, remote I/O, HMIs, and other Ethernet-enabled devices across the plant network.
