Allen-Bradley 1756-BATM Battery Module

The Allen-Bradley 1756-BATM Battery Module is an externally mounted ControlLogix memory-backup solution that houses the 1756-BATA lithium battery and a 1-meter connecting cable. The kit includes the 1756-BATA battery assembly and the 1 m cable to connect the housing to the controller. Rockwell Automation lists 1756-BATM as a discontinued catalog item as of July 18, 2017, with no planned replacement in the RA lineup. It is intended for use with ControlLogix Series A controllers and is not compatible with Series B controllers. In operation, the module provides memory retention for the controller during power interruptions, helping preserve user programs and data in the event of a loss of power.
