Allen-Bradley 150-B97NBDB Soft Starter Controller is a Bulletin 150 SMC Dialog Plus device that soft-starts three‑phase motors up to 75 HP at 460 VAC, with a 200–480 VAC line-voltage range and 50/60 Hz operation. It integrates multiple starting methods in one unit, including soft start with kickstart, current limit, dual ramp, and full-voltage start, enabling controlled acceleration and reduced mechanical stress. Parameter values can be downloaded to the SMC Dialog Plus via DriveTools, and the built-in metering tracks amps, volts, kW, kWh, elapsed time, power factor, and motor-thermal usage for on-board diagnostics. The controller is designed for industrial motor applications such as pumps, fans, conveyors, and HVAC equipment, and can also be used in chillers as shown in typical system diagrams for SMC Dialog Plus setups.
