AMCI-1531 Resolver Interface Module is a single‑channel plug‑in resolver interface for Allen‑Bradley SLC 500 PLCs, part of Advanced Micro Controls Inc.’s 1500 Series. It occupies one I/O slot in any SLC 500 rack and provides the processor with transducer position, velocity (tachometer), and fault data from a brushless resolver transducer. The 1531 supports programmable position resolution up to 1 part in 1,024 counts per turn for the 153x family, with a position update time of 200 microseconds, and a tachometer resolution of 1 RPM over a 0–5,000 RPM range. Transducer input isolation is 1500 VAC, and backplane current is 0.090 A at 5 V (0.055 A at 24 V nominal; 0.160 A max under short‑circuit conditions). It uses EEPROM for configuration storage (minimum 100,000 write cycles) and presents 3 input, 4 output registers for the 1531/1541 variants.
