Addi-Data PA170 Pulse Coder Input PC Board Module

The ADDI-DATA PA-1700-2 DAQ Card – Counting Inputs is an ISA-bus module designed to directly connect 3 or 6 incremental encoders for pulse counting in industrial environments. It provides 3 counting channels with 32- or 16-bit depth, supports differential or TTL A/B inputs, and includes differential or TTL reference inputs, TTL error inputs, and TTL strobe inputs, with input protection via transil diodes and EMI filters; sensor supply is 5 V at up to 500 mA. Three 82C54 timers enable interrupts; the front connector is a 37-pin SUB-D, with additional 2 x 26-pin ribbon cable connectors; the AT board occupies one ISA slot and is powered from +5 V (±5%) with a typical current consumption of 150 mA. Direct-mode frequency and pulse-width measurements reach up to 10 MHz (quadruple mode up to 2.5 MHz), the card automatically recognizes encoder direction, and it ships with a CD-ROM containing software and programming examples.
