ABB RDCO-01 Communication Option Module

ABB RDCO-01 Communication Option Module is a DDCS fiber-optic communication add-on for the ACS800 CraneDrive/ACS800 family frequency converters, designed to plug into the RMIO motor control and I/O board to enable a high‑speed DDCS link. It provides four fiber-optic channels (CH0–CH3) to support PC tools, master/follower link, and the AIMA-01 I/O module adapter, expanding the drive’s communication capabilities without replacing the base controller. The RDCO‑01(C) variant specifies per‑channel data rates as CH0 10 Mbd, CH1 5 Mbd, CH2 10 Mbd, and CH3 10 Mbd, enabling flexible bandwidth allocation across channels. The RDCO family also includes additional DDCS options (RDCO-02(C), RDCO-03(C), RDCO-04(C)) that maintain the same fiber-optic DDCS interface while offering different channel configurations for diverse installation needs.
