The Allen‑Bradley 1764-LRP MicroLogix 1500 Processor is the RS‑232 processor unit for the MicroLogix 1500 modular controller, designed to install with a MicroLogix 1500 base unit to provide the central processing and serial communication capability. It offers 14K words of user memory for programs and data, supports DH‑485, Modbus, DF1, and ASCII communications over RS‑232, is housed in an IP20 enclosure, and dissipates about 1.9 W of heat; programming is performed with RSLogix 500 software (Version 5.00.00 or higher). This processor was discontinued by Rockwell Automation on May 12, 2017, and is no longer available new from the manufacturer.
