Armstrong GD-45 Live Steam Pressure Regulator

Armstrong GD-45 Direct-Acting Pressure-Reducing Valve (Live Steam Pressure Regulator) reduces inlet steam pressure to a user-set downstream pressure for live steam service. Available in 1/2", 3/4", and 1" connections, the GD-45 supports steam, air, and non-corrosive gases in a compact, direct-acting design with no external pilot. Operating ranges include inlet pressures from 15 to 300 psig with a downstream setpoint typically adjustable from 3 to 15 psig, and a maximum process temperature of 450 F (232 C). Constructed for rugged industrial duty, the valve uses a ductile iron body (ASTM A536), hardened stainless steel seat/valve (AISI 420), and phosphor bronze bellows (ASTM B103); flow coefficients (Cv) are 1.3 for 1/2", 1.5 for 3/4", and 2.5 for 1" sizes. Overall dimensions are approximately 4-3/8 in (111 mm) long and about 1-7/8 in (47 mm) tall, with a weight around 7 lb (3.2 kg). This regulator is well suited for boiler rooms, heat exchangers, and other steam-processing applications where reliable, setpoint-based pressure reduction is required.
