It accepts 24 VDC (-10% to +20%) or 24 VAC (-15% to +10%), with a ripple of 10%, and draws about 5 W. The device provides two safety contacts (DC-13, up to 6 A) plus auxiliary contacts: two NC and one NO, as well as two signaling outputs (signaling contacts) rated up to 2 A at 24 VDC. Integrated integral system diagnostics (ISD) with a status LED continuously reports fault conditions such as cross-wiring or short circuits in switch connections, door-contact faults, or relay-control faults; the safety module supports automatic reset and resets after a supply disruption. The AES-1235 is 22.5 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 121 mm deep, mounts on standard DIN rails (EN 60715), and uses screw terminals with 0.25–2.5 mm2 cable and 0.6 Nm torque. The housing is glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastic and rated for a service temperature of 0 to +55 C (with -25 to +70 C storage); the enclosure provides IP40 protection (installation space IP54) and IP20 on the terminals.
